New Westminster – Downtown & The Quay:

As the first capital of British Columbia and the oldest city in Western Canada, New Westminster has a long, rich history and unique culture. The heart of New Westminster is downtown, where the charming character of historic architecture stands beside cutting-edge contemporary buildings. There’s something for everyone along Columbia Street, the main drag downtown, with a broad mix of stores, restaurants, and businesses. Columbia Street is home to a vibrant nightlife, where you can catch up with old friends or meet new ones at cafes, pubs, and nightclubs. The New West station has a development built around the station that consists of shops, restaurants, cafes, and the Landmark Cinemas movie theatre. Plaza 88 are the 3 residential towers connected to this station and has direct access to all the station has to offer

Downtown’s waterfront, the Quay, is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. The Fraser River has a long history as a mighty companion to BC commerce and industry, with the role of tugboats holding a special place in New Westminster’s heart. The annual RiverFest New West is an adventure for the whole family, where you can see tugboats in action, learn about their history, and partake in other river-themed events. Next to the Quay, the River Market brings together farmers, bakers, and artisans to add a rich, cultural shopping experience to downtown New Westminster. This will also be the site of the upcoming new Bosa buildings “Pier West”
